Job Description:
GDH Consulting is hiring an experienced Power System Consultants for a transformative project in the energy sector. This role involves significant responsibilities in the expansion and integration of power grid systems across a major regional transmission organization. The successful candidates will be pivotal in enhancing grid reliability and advancing technological implementations in energy transmission. This position is set to start immediately and is part of a dynamic 2.5-year project.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the expansion of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems to double current capacities.
  • Support the integration and optimization of General Electric's Energy Management System (EMS).
  • Analyze and manipulate large datasets to improve system operations and decision-making processes.
  • Implement and monitor Remedial Action Schemes (RAS) to ensure grid stability and reliability.
  • Provide technical support for Identity and Access Management (IAM) and virtual environment configurations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of project milestones and adherence to technical standards.
  • Assist in project initiatives specific to the western interconnection and air connect projects.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in power systems management and operations.
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with SCADA systems.
  • Proficient in using General Electric's EMS for energy management.
  • Strong capabilities in data analysis and manipulation, with proficiency in software tools like Excel and Oracle.
  • In-depth understanding of Remedial Action Schemes (RAS).
  • Experience in IT support, particularly in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and virtual environments.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
  • Must be available to start immediately and commit to the duration of the project.
