Job Title: Project Manager Cybertools
Location: Prefer Local to Southern California (Hybrid/Onsite as needed)
Type: Contract
Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager with hands-on experience managing Cybertools projects in large enterprise environments. This role requires a proactive leader who can coordinate cross-functional teams, manage cybersecurity tool implementations and upgrades, and ensure timely delivery with a focus on security compliance and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of cybersecurity tool (Cybertools) projects in large-scale enterprise settings.
Work closely with InfoSec, IT infrastructure, application teams, and vendors to align security initiatives with organizational goals.
Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and issues using formal project management methodologies (Agile or Waterfall as applicable).
Track and report progress to stakeholders and leadership through clear documentation and executive-level reporting.
Coordinate with internal teams and third-party vendors for tool integrations, upgrades, and new deployments (SIEM, vulnerability management, identity tools, etc.).
Ensure all cybersecurity tool deployments meet compliance standards (NIST, ISO, SOX, HIPAA, etc.) and organizational policies.
Manage change control and configuration documentation to ensure traceability and audit readiness.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in Project Management, with at least 3+ years in Cybersecurity-related projects.
Strong knowledge of Cybertools such as:
SIEM solutions (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) tools (e.g., CrowdStrike, Carbon Black)
Vulnerability Management (e.g., Qualys, Tenable)
Identity & Access Management (e.g., CyberArk, Okta)
Experience working in large enterprise environments (10,000+ users) with complex infrastructure and regulatory requirements.
Proven track record delivering enterprise-level security tool deployments.
Strong stakeholder management, reporting, and vendor coordination skills.
PMP, CSM, or equivalent project management certification preferred.
Background in Cybersecurity or InfoSec is strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Based in or willing to relocate to Southern California.
Familiarity with enterprise governance, change control, and compliance frameworks.
Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or ServiceNow.
