Job Description

You will be the technical expert for our team, responsible for conducting technical analysis of product implementations, modifications, and enhancements. Our team is responsible for ensuring that products meet specific customer specifications and implementations, and we're looking for someone to help us deliver high-quality solutions.

What You Will Be Doing
As the technical expert, you will be responsible for troubleshooting technical problems, determining solutions, and recommending actions to company or customer representatives. You will work closely with customers, vendors, and company representatives to provide technical training and product briefings, and serve as a local on-site representative to customer organizations.

Your responsibilities will include:
Performing depot-level repairs, including Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) and Ball Grid Array (BGA) components
Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, structural, and hydraulic subsystems and complete systems
Operating automated or general-purpose test equipment, such as oscilloscopes and multi-meters
Setting up and operating conventional milling machines and drill presses
Utilizing precision measuring equipment to verify compliance with engineering specifications and tolerances
Documenting work in automated maintenance data collection systems
Providing technical feedback to promote reliability improvements

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge and experience in repairs of electro-mechanical assemblies
- Knowledge basic avionics and electronics
- Knowledge of troubleshooting and fault isolation of components using general purpose and/or automated test equipment
- Knowledge of automated and/or general-purpose test equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meters, network analyzers and waveform generators) used in a depot
- Knowledge of the interpretation of engineering drawings, schematics, and test and repair procedures
- Familiarity with industrial standards, military specifications and industry processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift 35 pounds. - Ability to adapt to dynamic and frequently changing customer requirements
- Ability to understand policies and procedures for the control of Government property
- Ability to work with hazardous materials
- Ability to mix and weigh chemicals
- Ability to properly safety wire assemblies and connectors
- Ability to solder and repair cables and harnesses
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Ability to obtain a D.O.D. security clearance (SECRET)

Desired skills

- Knowledge of solder certification to J-STD-001, IPC-7711/IPC-7721
- Knowledge of fault isolation for electro-mechanical components
- Knowledge of concepts for hardware repair.
- Experience with CCA component rework and repair
- Rework experience with BGAs and electrical maintenance and rework

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $60,600 - $106,835. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement
