Role Overview

This contingent assignment is seeking a UI-focused Product Owner / UI-UX Specialist with a strong emphasis on User Interface design and delivery, rather than traditional UX research. The role sits within a Finance organization but is product and technology driven, supporting the delivery of modern UI solutions.

The successful candidate will act as a UI Product Owner, leading UI initiatives through the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) while managing a team of Software Engineers responsible for curating and transforming data into AngularJS and React-based user interfaces.

This role is ideal for a highly creative, entrepreneurial individual with strong product vision and a natural curiosity for technology and innovation. A financial background is not required; however, FinTech experience is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities


  • Serve as UI Product Owner, owning UI initiatives from concept through delivery.
  • Lead and manage a team of Software Engineers delivering UI solutions.
  • Drive UI development through the full SDLC, including planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Curate, shape, and present complex data into intuitive AngularJS and React UI screens.
  • Partner closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to align UI delivery with strategic goals.
  • Establish product vision, roadmap, and priorities for UI initiatives.
  • Ensure high-quality, scalable, and user-friendly UI implementations.
  • Promote innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement across UI solutions.

Required Qualifications


  • 5+ years of experience in a product, technology, or finance-related role, demonstrated through work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • Strong experience managing UI initiatives within an SDLC-driven environment.
  • Experience working closely with or leading software engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate product vision into executable outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Strong UI-centric experience (UI over UX).
  • Hands-on experience supporting or delivering AngularJS and React applications.
  • Prior Product Owner or product leadership experience.
  • FinTech experience or exposure to technology products within regulated industries.
  • Demonstrated creativity, product vision, and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Naturally curious and innovative approach to problem solving.
