Job Details

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Power BI Developer to join our team in a hybrid W2 position based in San Francisco, CA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing scalable dashboards, working with data models, and transforming raw data into meaningful business insights using Microsoft Power BI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.

  • Gather requirements and work closely with business users to translate needs into technical solutions.

  • Build efficient data models using DAX and Power Query (M language).

  • Perform data analysis and visualization to support decision-making.

  • Connect to multiple data sources (SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, APIs, etc.).

  • Optimize report performance and implement best practices for BI development.

  • Maintain documentation and provide support for deployed dashboards.

  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders in Agile environments.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI.

  • Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling techniques.

  • Experience working with SQL Server and writing complex queries.

  • Strong understanding of data visualization principles and user-centered design.

  • Familiarity with Power BI Service (publishing, workspace management, data gateways).

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
