POSITION OVERVIEW: As a CAD Tech III at LJA Land Development, you will be responsible for creating and modifying engineering drawings, maps, and plan/profile sheets to support project design and execution. This role requires attention to detail, technical proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and the ability to interpret sketches, notes, and verbal instructions. The ideal candidate will collaborate with engineers and team members to ensure accuracy, compliance with standards, and timely completion of project deliverables.

This role requires attention to detail, technical proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and the ability to interpret sketches, notes, and verbal instructions. The ideal candidate will collaborate with engineers and team members to ensure accuracy, compliance with standards, and timely completion of project deliverables.
A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:
- Performs non-routine and complex CAD drafting assignments from verbal instructions with minimal supervision
- Reviews completed construction drawings and cost estimates for accuracy and conformity to standards and regulations
- Assembles documentation packages and produces drawing sets, which are checked by the engineer
- Other assigned duties as required
REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of high school or technical school training with courses in computer-aided drafting or equivalent experience
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years' experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Technical knowledge of CAD operations and engineering specialty discipline
- Must be flexible to changes in work assignments on short notice and/or on a daily basis as changes occur in project needs
