Job Description:
The Cloud Program Manager provides governance and oversight for formal programs involving cloud (with defined start/stop dates and specific objectives). In this case, the Cloud Program Manager oversees the adoption of the new cloud platform products/capabilities. They are responsible for tracking the objectives and progress of the program. They will also develop and execute communications as part of cloud program delivery.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teams needing to adopt the target state to track timelines, manage dependencies and ensure objectives are being met
- Develop an integrated roadmap to ensure cloud capabilities are aligned with product team needs
- Establish and manage the budget and forecast for the program
- Provide overall program management functions including communications, risk & issue management, quality management, and change management
- Help create and maintain the Communications Strategy and Plan
- Develop messaging and execute the Communications Plan
- Provide reporting on progress against roadmap (adoption targets) and Cloud KPIs / value assurance monitoring
Required Skills / Experience:
- Experience with large-scale program management and/or agile release train management
- Understanding of cloud technologies and the benefits of cloud
- Forecasting and managing risks in complex programs
- Experience in forecasting and budget management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills - able to interface with all levels of the organization
- Ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization, across teams, vendors, stakeholders
- Able to navigate ambiguity and help clarify the path forward
- Familiarity with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle
- Flexible and adaptable and able to work in ambiguous situations
- Excellent organizational skills
