NVIDIA is seeking a forward-thinking leader to spearhead our initiatives in the transformative field of accelerated computing, which is revolutionizing data science and data engineering. NVIDIA accelerated data science starts from a shared core of high-performance libraries that power a broad stack of higher-level technologies. These include the open source RAPIDS libraries for every data scientist, AI data platforms like NeMo Curator and Morpheus, and data processing engines to accelerate Apache Spark, Velox, and vector search.

We're looking for a leader who sees the future of data science and data engineering and can span between the open source community and the needs of the world's largest enterprises.

What you'll be doing:
  • Lead and grow the existing team of 100+ engineers, data scientists, and managers
  • Work with the open source community and other data platforms to help the world accelerate its data work with NVIDIA libraries
  • Expand and build on our efforts to bridge the worlds of traditional data processing and emerging AI workloads
  • Drive engineering and architectural excellence
  • Partner closely with product management to ensure enterprise readiness and support

What we need to see:
  • MS, or PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field.
  • 10+ or more years of experience in leading/managing a software development team in agile environment as well as performance sensitive and/or real-time software and customer facing software products.
  • 20+ or more years of overall experience in software design, including debugging, performance analysis, and testing designs.
  • Executive experience in collaborating with partner ISVs and platforms.
  • Highly proficient in data, cloud, data science and ideally accelerated compute (e.g. Spark, Kubernetes, Dask, Python ecosystem, and CUDA).
  • Experience developing platforms or tools for developers.
  • Track record of building high-performing teams and growing leaders.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead multi-functional efforts.
  • Deep understanding of how to build successful products in large-scale environments.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:
  • Ability to work well with open source communities and foster their growth.
  • Experience with CUDA or other parallel programming systems.
  • Strong understanding of high-performance microservices architectures.
  • Expertise in deep learning, RAG and modern text search, embeddings, or similar AI technologies.
