ob Title: User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Support Analyst
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive UAT Support Analyst to join a major system implementation project. This is a hands-on coordination and governance support role. You will not be writing or executing test scripts. Instead, you will be responsible for helping to lead the state's business users through a successful UAT phase by providing project management, analysis, support of defect management, reporting, and strategic communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Overall UAT Coordination: Assist the UAT Lead by acting as a key liaison between the client, client's IT partners, and the system integrator to facilitate alignment, coordinate daily testing activities, and track pre-UAT readiness tasks.
- Maintain and Support UAT Planning Artifacts: Support the UAT effort by maintaining and updating the master UAT Test Plan and Work Plan. You will be responsible for tracking changes and ensuring these key documents remain current throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate the Defect Management Process: Assist in coordinating the end-to-end defect management process. This includes scheduling and supporting triage meetings, tracking the defect lifecycle, and helping the client document issues.
- Develop UAT Reporting and Communications: Support all UAT-related communications by gathering data and preparing draft status reports on testing progress, defect metrics, and risks, ensuring stakeholders have the information they need.
- Support Client Enablement and Knowledge Transfer: Assist in empowering the client by helping to create reusable templates, frameworks, and guidance documents. You will support knowledge transfer activities that help build the state partners' long-term UAT governance capabilities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience: 8+ years of professional experience with a focus on business analysis, software testing, or quality assurance on system implementation projects.
- UAT Coordination: Proven experience supporting or coordinating UAT efforts for large-scale software or system implementation projects. Must have a strong understanding of the UAT lifecycle and processes.
- Defect Management: Hands-on experience tracking and documenting defects using tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps (ADO), or SpiraTest (SPIRA).
- Stakeholder Coordination: Demonstrated ability to coordinate activities across multiple teams, including clients, technical teams, and third-party vendors, in a complex project environment.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear documentation, support meetings, and prepare draft status updates.
- Analytical Skills: Strong skills in project tracking, status reporting, and risk and issue documentation.
Desired Attributes:
- Experience on public sector or government IT projects is highly desirable.
- Experience with Child Welfare or Human Services systems is a significant plus.
- A proactive and highly organized individual with the ability to manage multiple tasks and drive them to completion.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to facilitate discussions to clarify issues and next steps.
- A collaborative mindset focused on enabling client success and being a reliable team player.
