Location : This position is hybrid, based in Laurel, MD - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.

Role:

Delmock Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior SQL/BI Developer to provide technical guidance and expert support for two mission-critical COTS applications: ePermitting (EnerGov) and ProjectDox . This role includes database programming, custom report development, and production support in a hybrid work environment. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI experience, as well as familiarity with application lifecycle support and system integration in a government or utility context.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with key stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable software solutions and custom reporting tools.


  • Modifies existing software and develops complex, special-purpose database procedures to ensure data integrity and efficient integration between systems.


  • Designs software solutions that adhere to modern programming best practices.


  • Develops customized database programs to enhance functionality and extend capabilities of COTS applications.


  • Provides full life-cycle support of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) applications, including Application planning, System enhancements and maintenance, Operational support, End-user support, including ad-hoc reports and application customizations.


  • Supports, maintains , and enhances the ePermitting (Tyler Technologies EnerGov) and ProjectDox ( Avolve Software) applications.


  • Creates, optimizes, and maintains complex SQL Server database objects such as stored procedures, views, triggers, and functions.


  • Designs and implements SSIS packages and ETL workflows to extract, transform, and load data from heterogeneous sources (CSV, Excel, Oracle, flat files, Azure).


  • Develops and maintains reports and dashboards using SSRS, Crystal Reports, and Power BI to support operational and strategic decision-making.


  • Performs unit testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT) for all developed solutions.


  • Adheres to formal change management processes to deploy changes to production environments.


  • Troubleshoots, resolves, and documents production issues per defined service level agreements (SLAs).


  • Collaborates with internal IT teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions on time and within budget.


  • Works with IT Security teams and COTS vendors to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities.


  • Coordinates with COTS vendors to maintain and upgrade application software and ensure continued system performance and compliance.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems , Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related scientific or technical field .


  • S ix (6) years minimum of relevant experience with any of the following: SQL programming languages, SQL Server Management Studio
    (SSMS), Power BI, SharePoint, ServiceNow, SQL Server Reporting Service
    (SSRS), Crystal Reports, Office products (Word, Excel) .


  • Experience working with a variety of operating systems, such as Windows, Linux, and mainframe.


  • Experience in Verifying accuracy and completeness of programs through data preparation and testing.


  • Ability to translate program flowcharts into coded instructions for modern IT systems.


  • Ability to design programs, flowcharts, and diagrams to optimize data processing and computation.


  • Proven experience in developing solutions for business, management, and strategic IT challenges.


Highly Desired Experience:

  • Experience with EnerGov (Enterprise Permitting & License) .


  • Experience with ePermitting and ProjectDox applications.


Clearance:

  • The ability to successfully pass a background check is needed for this position .
