Job Description
As part of the Assembly Test and Launch Operations (ATLO) organization at Lockheed Martin Space, we are passionate about systems integration and test engineering, and we tackle the toughest challenges in the industry every day. As a Systems integration and test engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping the future by designing, developing, and testing cutting-edge spacecraft batteries, systems, and test equipment alongside a diverse and talented team.
What will you do as a new hire?
You will perform system level acceptance, checkout, and validation tasks, as well as maintain the Battery Lab infrastructure in a ready-to-test condition. You'll work under general supervision to navigate engineering drawings and technical documentation, apply basic systems engineering concepts, and troubleshoot electrical/electronic systems. Key duties include collaborating with cross-functional teams, writing and executing test procedures, and coordinating with test engineers and technicians to ensure successful integration and testing of systems. You will work independently and as part of a team, with opportunities to lead projects and collaborate with senior engineers to ensure project goals are met. You will gain hands-on experience with flight hardware while developing technical skills and expertise. You'll have opportunities to work on complex projects, develop new skills, and contribute to the development of innovative space systems.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education
Experience and/or knowledge of navigating engineering drawings and technical documentation and basic systems engineering concepts
Desired skills
Familiarity with systems engineering principles and the ability to understand the relationship between hardware, software, and electrical systems
Experience writing/executing test procedures
Understanding and ability to troubleshoot electrical/electronic systems
Familiarity with computerized data acquisition and automated test control systems and instrumentation
Familiarity with electrical test/measurement equipment: Digital Multimeters (DMM), Oscilloscopes, etc.
Time and project management skills
Test lab experience including hazardodestructive testing and environments testing (e.g., vibration, shock, TVAC, etc.)
Able to communicate complex technical ideas to an audience with varied technical backgrounds
Experience with software platforms including Microsoft Suite, LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB, Zuken, and/or VBA environments

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $57,500 - $101,430. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.
