Job Title: Oracle CCS Regression Test Automation Specialist
Location: Richmond, VA (Onsite)
Duration: Long-Term Contract

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle CCS Regression Test Automation Specialist to support the implementation and ongoing testing of a cloud-based utility billing system. The role focuses on developing and executing automated regression test scripts using the Oracle Utilities Testing Accelerator (OUTA), supporting functional, regression, and end-to-end testing, and mentoring internal QA resources. The specialist will collaborate with business SMEs and QA teams to ensure accurate testing of non-base functionality and integrated third-party applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using OUTA for functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.
  • Design reusable test assets and templates within the OUTA framework, including XML configuration files, data setup scripts, and test component definitions.
  • Implement and customize Groovy scripts within OUTA for dynamic data handling, validations, and conditional business logic.
  • Integrate OUTA with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) for automated regression execution and continuous delivery.
  • Perform data-driven testing using parameterized datasets to simulate real-world utility scenarios such as billing, payments, meter reads, adjustments, and collections.
  • Develop validation logic for UI screens, REST/SOAP web services, and integration endpoints within Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
  • Generate and analyze execution reports from OUTA logs, identify failed cases, and provide root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with QA leads, functional testers, and developers to align automation scope with deliverables and release timelines.
  • Maintain test repositories and version control, ensuring proper branching and change tracking for automation assets.
  • Provide knowledge transfer and training to QA teams and internal resources on OUTA framework usage, best practices, and reporting.
  • Support Oracle patch and upgrade testing (CCS upgrades) using automation to validate regression stability.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong experience with OUTA, Groovy, Java, and XML (3+ years).
  • Hands-on knowledge of Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF) (3+ years).
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CCS Database Actions, SQL (3+ years).
  • Hands-on knowledge of Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) (3+ years).
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle CCS system.
  • Ability to mentor and train internal QA resources on regression testing processes and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with end-to-end testing of utility billing processes.
  • Knowledge of REST/SOAP services and integration testing.
  • Experience with CI/CD automation in Azure DevOps.
