Senior Web Developer

80% Remote required to meet on-site in Austin, TX a few times per month

Roles/Responsibilities:
UX Designers is responsible for:

1. OverseeeingUX/UI designs to ensure design decisions are grounded in user experience and adhere to agency-wide design standards and industry-wide best practices
2. Translating research into user stories, requirements, flows, wireframes, and prototypes and collaborating on the future product roadmap
3. Employing user testing and outreach to ensure products meets the needs of the end users, in collaboration with partners
4. Partnering with the product team and other key stakeholders, including senior leadership, on design solutions and rationales; collaborating with internal and external teams of product designers, developers, and product managers

Mandatory Skills:

1. 8 years Required: Experience in software product development, digital design, UX/UI, or a related field
2. 8 years Required: Designing mockups and/or wireframes that conform to UX best practices
3. 8 years Required: Experience conducting user and usability research
4. 5 years Required: Demonstrated strong writing and organization skills
5. 5 years Required: Demonstrated strong communication and facilitation skills
6. 4 years Required: Direct experience leading large-scale UX/UI efforts
7. 4 years Required: Documented experience developing wireframes, mockups, and prototypes in Figma or comparable design software
8. 3 years Required: Experience ensuring designs and websites conform to federal accessibility guidelines
9. 1 year Required: A portfolio of user research, visual design, and usability studies that demonstrates a high level of professionalism

Desirable Skills

1. 3 years Preferred: Documented work experience with the issue tracking software "Atlassian Jira"
2. 2 years Preferred: Documented experience working for or closely with TEA or another state or local education agency
