Job Description


In this contingent resource assignment, the Information Security Engineer will support low to moderately complex initiatives within the Information Security Engineering function. The role focuses on tactical execution, analysis, and process improvement activities while developing a strong understanding of security policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

The ideal candidate demonstrates solid foundational security knowledge, the ability to analyze issues and recommend solutions, and the capacity to work independently on defined tasks while collaborating with internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities



  • Participate in low to moderately complex Information Security Engineering initiatives and day-to-day activities
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within Information Security Engineering workflows
  • Review, research, and analyze basic to tactical security assignments or challenges
  • Evaluate alternatives and recommend solutions for low-to-medium risk deliverables
  • Present findings and recommendations to resolve low to moderately complex security issues
  • Exercise independent judgment while adhering to established policies, procedures, and compliance standards
  • Provide security-related information and support to client and internal personnel
  • Develop an increasing understanding of enterprise security controls, governance, and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications



  • 2+ years of Information Security Engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of:

    • Professional work or consulting experience
    • Military experience
    • Education or formal training in cybersecurity or related fields


Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)



  • Familiarity with enterprise information security frameworks, controls, or risk management practices
  • Experience supporting security operations, engineering, or governance initiatives
  • Exposure to compliance or regulatory environments (e.g., financial services, healthcare, or large enterprises)
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
