Job Title: Product Data Management Analyst

Location: Texas City, TX (Huston) Duration: 12+ Months


Role Summary

We are seeking a Digital Merchandising / Product Data Management Analyst with strong experience in product attribute standardization, taxonomy, and category management. The role focuses on managing and enriching product data to drive accurate, engaging, and conversion-optimized digital product presentations across web and omnichannel platforms.


Key Responsibilities

Product Data & Digital Merchandising

  • Maintain and enrich product content including:

    • Descriptions, specifications, attributes

    • Images, videos, and digital assets

  • Define and manage Customer Decision Trees, taxonomy, and category hierarchies.

  • Standardize product attributes across categories using competitive research and analysis.

  • Conduct regular content audits to ensure accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment.

  • Optimize product placement, categorization, and discoverability across digital channels.


Category & ERP Product Management

  • Create, manage, and maintain merchandise category hierarchies, including reassignment of articles.

  • Manage ERP product data, including:

    • Article logistics data

    • Sellable unit / pack size configuration

    • POS and sales data

    • Product expiry details

  • Manage supplier changes and ensure timely updates to product records.

  • Support new product launches and go-live readiness.


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with vendors and suppliers to acquire high-quality product content and enrichment data.

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Inventory, and Buying teams to ensure:

    • Promotional readiness

    • Stock availability

    • Cross-channel merchandising alignment (web, mobile, email, social)

  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including buyers.


Analytics, Reporting & Optimization

  • Use analytics tools to measure product performance and identify trends.

  • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve merchandising effectiveness.

  • Track and report on product updates, promotions, KPIs, and SLAs.

  • Continuously improve product presentation through testing and UX enhancements.


Delivery, Quality & Team Enablement

  • Ensure SLA and KPI compliance across merchandising processes.

  • Handle escalations, issue resolution, and risk identification.

  • Monitor delivery quality and exception handling.

  • Absorb processes thoroughly and train / enable team members as required.

  • Support market research activities and insights review.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Marketing, Business, Merchandising, or related field.

  • Proven experience in:

    • Category Management / Site Merchandising

    • Product Attribute Standardization

    • Product Data Quality & Review

  • Strong understanding of:

    • Merchandising principles

    • Product management lifecycle

    • Upstream and downstream retail processes

  • Experience working as an individual contributor in delivery-focused roles.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives, priorities, and timelines effectively.


Nice to Have

  • Experience with data syndication platforms.

  • Exposure to large retail or eCommerce environments.

  • Prior experience leading or mentoring small operational teams.
