Description
We are looking for a skilled Support Project Manager/Lead to oversee critical IT infrastructure projects with precision and efficiency. This is a long-term contract position based in Houston, Texas, offering a unique opportunity to manage complex IT transformations for a dynamic organization. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of IT infrastructure initiatives, including system migrations, while maintaining compliance and continuity.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute detailed project plans to ensure alignment with business goals and timelines.
Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams globally to achieve project objectives efficiently.
Identify, assess, and address potential risks and issues to maintain seamless project execution.
Oversee project budgets, allocate resources effectively, and monitor financial performance to stay within scope.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Facilitate organizational change by implementing communication, training, and system adoption strategies.
Manage vendor relationships, including service providers and equipment manufacturers, to ensure project deliverables are met.
Maintain compliance with IT controls and security standards during all phases of the project.
Provide regular updates and reports to executive leadership, highlighting progress, risks, and dependencies.
Utilize project management tools such as Microsoft Planner and Microsoft Project to track and optimize workflows.
Requirements
A minimum of 7 years of project management experience, with a focus on IT transformation and system migrations.
Proven expertise in managing IT infrastructure workstreams during corporate spinoffs, divestitures, or mergers.
Strong knowledge of networking, cloud technologies, Active Directory, end-user computing, and data center operations.
Demonstrated ability to lead global, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in vendor management, including collaboration with managed service providers and cloud providers.
Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Planner and Microsoft Project.
Familiarity with IT controls, security best practices, and compliance requirements.
A degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business, or a related field; PMP or equivalent certification is preferred.
