Location : Northern Utah

Type: Long-term Contract (3-4 years)
Pay Rate: $65.00-$76.00/hr

Summary
Our client, a leader and growing presence in the robotics and autonomous vehicles space, is seeking Electrical Engineers for their R&D teams to work on long-term contracts. Electrical Engineer IV serves as a technical specialist and senior contributor responsible for designing, developing, and testing advanced electrical systems for robotic and ground-based vehicles and equipment. This role leads complex technical efforts, contributes to research and new product development, mentors junior engineers, and may act as a technical or team lead while working independently in a highly collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of complex analog and digital electrical systems and architectures.
  • Drive testing, validation, and fabrication support for electrical control and test equipment.
  • Apply control systems, instrumentation, and advanced electrical design methodologies to new and existing products.
  • Ensure designs comply with manufacturing, installation, and operational requirements.
  • Support fielded systems through coordination of operation, maintenance, and repair activities.
  • Utilize EDA and CAD tools to perform electrical design, analysis, and documentation.
  • Lead DFMEA activities and apply functional safety analysis to mitigate design and system risks.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on complex projects.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and incorporate improvements into designs and processes.
  • Exposure to AI technology is a big plus.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience or equivalent combination of education and training.
  • Advanced proficiency with EDA tools and analog/digital circuit design.
  • Experience leading DFMEA processes and performing functional safety analysis.
