Job Description:
A stealth-mode, well-funded startup is building the industry s first Autonomous Engineering Platform (AEP) to eliminate developer toil through AI. We are looking for a Founding UI Engineer to lead and build our frontend from scratch, collaborate closely with leadership, and define the product s user experience for a next-generation developer platform.
Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Founding UI Engineer to lead and build our frontend from scratch, collaborate closely with leadership, and define the product s user experience for a next-generation developer platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and Own the Frontend: Lead development of our UI from concept to deployment, including all architectural decisions.
- Iterate with Founders & Users: Work closely with founders and early adopters to refine the product UX through rapid prototyping.
- Define UI Standards: Establish best practices for component structure, testing strategies, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Deliver Exceptional UX: Create seamless and engaging interfaces focused on developer users.
- Leverage AI in Development: Use AI-enhanced tools to streamline UI development and add intelligent functionality.
- 5+ years of experience building high-performance, modern web applications.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating UI/UX work (GitHub, live demos, etc.).
- Deep empathy for developer users and product-driven thinking.
- Proven ability to work independently in a fast-moving startup environment.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Next.js for scalable React applications.
- Shadcn/ui & Tailwind CSS for accessible, design-consistent UIs.
- Vitest for component testing.
- Playwright for end-to-end testing.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot, v0.dev, etc.
- Full-stack experience with Node.js, Go, or Python.
- Experience contributing to or building a design system.
- Passion for DevOps, developer productivity, or internal tools.
- History of open-source contributions.
