We have a long-term contract position for an IT System Administrator III in Los Angeles, CA(Hybrid)

Position Title:- IT System Administrator III
Location: Los Angeles, CA(Hybrid)
Interview Process:- Only Web Cam

The IT System Administrator manages, monitors, and secures enterprise systems, databases, and applications to ensure optimal performance, data integrity, and system availability. This role includes troubleshooting, configuration, upgrades, security management, and participation in system design and disaster recovery planning.

General IT Administration:

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and document system and application performance.
  • Apply patches, upgrades, and configurations for optimization.
  • Participate in system design and disaster recovery planning.
  • Support IT projects and ensure consistent configuration across systems.

Database & Web Administration:

  • Install, configure, and maintain database and web systems.
  • Develop and execute backup and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Troubleshoot database/web performance and security issues.
  • Research new technologies and implement best practices for data integrity and system reliability.

Security Administration:

  • Design and implement access controls and security measures.
  • Monitor and remediate security incidents and vulnerabilities.
  • Support audits and compliance efforts with security reporting.
  • Develop and maintain security and disaster recovery documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor s degree in IT or related field (Master s preferred).
  • Experience: 4+ years relevant experience (2+ with a Master s).
  • Certifications (for Security roles): CISSP or CISA required.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of system, database, and network administration.
  • Understanding of security principles, tools, and forensics.
  • Ability to lead projects, prioritize tasks, and work independently or collaboratively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
