About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Entry-Level Business Analyst to join our Oil & Gas / Utilities team. This is a great opportunity for Entry Level Candidates or early-career professionals who want to learn how large-scale energy and utility businesses operate. You ll help with data analysis, system documentation, and process improvements across departments like operations, engineering, and IT.
Key Responsibilities
- Help gather and document business needs from teams like field operations, engineering, and IT.
- Support process improvement for areas like drilling, pipeline transport, refining, or power grid management.
- Use Excel or basic SQL to analyze data such as energy usage, equipment performance, or outage logs.
- Assist with writing basic documents like business requirements, process flows, and user guides.
- Help prepare reports, dashboards, and summaries for internal teams and leadership.
- Support testing of systems and tools used for asset tracking, billing, or maintenance scheduling.
- Track issues and document fixes using tools like JIRA or ServiceNow.
- Attend meetings and take notes, follow up on tasks, and help organize project materials.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Energy, Business, or a related field.
- 0 2 years of experience (internships or academic projects are great too).
- Basic knowledge or strong interest in the energy/oil & gas/utilities industry.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Comfortable using Excel and PowerPoint; basic SQL or reporting is a plus.
- Eager to learn, adaptable, and detail-oriented.
