Position: Senior Insider Threat Analyst
Work Arrangement: Hybrid - In-office on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
About the Opportunity

We're seeking a Senior Insider Threat Analyst to lead the deployment of a cutting-edge insider threat detection tool and develop a comprehensive insider threat program from the ground up. This is a high-impact role that will significantly strengthen our organization's ability to detect, investigate, and mitigate insider threats - including data loss, intellectual property theft, and malicious behavior.

This hybrid role offers a flexible work environment with the expectation of being in the office three or more days per week.
What You'll Do
Program Development
  • Design and implement a scalable insider threat program aligned with business goals and compliance requirements.
  • Create policies, procedures, and workflows for effective detection, investigation, and mitigation of insider threats.
  • Establish KPIs and reporting frameworks to measure program success.
Tool Deployment & Integration
  • Lead the deployment and configuration of a new insider threat detection platform.
  • Ensure integration with existing security tools such as SIEM and SOAR.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to tailor the solution to business-specific needs.
Threat Detection & Analysis
  • Monitor and analyze user and entity behaviors to detect anomalies and policy violations.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into insider threat incidents in collaboration with cybersecurity, HR, and legal teams.
  • Optimize detection rules, alert logic, and risk-scoring models.
Collaboration & Training
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on insider threats.
  • Train and mentor junior analysts and partner teams on threat detection best practices and tool usage.
Incident Response
  • Lead or support response efforts for insider threat incidents.
  • Develop and maintain playbooks for different insider threat scenarios.
  • Document investigations and conduct root-cause analyses to improve future detection.
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, IT, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years focused on insider threat programs.
  • Deep expertise with UEBA, SIEM, DLP, and digital forensics.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and managing insider threat tools - specifically DTex InTERCEPT.
  • Proven ability to develop policies, workflows, and detection methodologies.
  • Familiarity with scripting or automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, BigQuery) is a strong plus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, GIAC, or Certified Insider Threat Program Manager.
  • Strong understanding of legal and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
