Position Title: Data Scientist
Location: Remote
Clearance Requirements: Active DoD Secret Clearance required prior to start
Position Status: Contract
Pay Rate: $60/hr on W2
Position Description: Join a dynamic team supporting critical missions where your expertise in data analytics will directly drive impactful insights and decision-making. As a Data Analyst, you will leverage advanced analytical techniques to transform complex, high-volume datasets into actionable intelligence and visualizations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining interactive data visualizations and dashboards using Tableau to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders
- Analyzing large datasets with Oracle databases, writing complex SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis
- Evaluating data quality, accuracy, and sources to ensure reliable analytic solutions
- Building and applying predictive models, statistical analyses (e.g., regressions, decision trees, neural networks), simulations, or optimizations using tools like ILOG CPLEX, AnyLogic, or similar
- Performing data preparation, cleansing, and manipulation for large datasets using Excel, SQL, or programming languages
- Providing recommendations on data sources, processes, and architecture improvements
- Collaborating in areas such as statistical modeling, business analysis, and potentially software development/testing in relevant programming languages

Required Skills/Education:
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Strong proficiency in Tableau for data visualization and dashboard development
- Advanced Oracle data analysis skills, including writing and reading complex SQL queries
- Experience in data analytics, predictive analytics, statistics, mathematics, or related fields
- Proven ability to develop predictive or statistical models (e.g., regressions, decision trees, neural networks) or perform simulations/optimizations (e.g., ILOG CPLEX, AnyLogic)
- Demonstrated expertise in data analysis using Excel or similar tools
- Hands-on experience with SQL or programming languages for complex queries, data extraction, and manipulation
- Proficiency in data preparation, cleansing, and handling large datasets
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science) preferred; equivalent experience considered
