Description
SAIC is seeking an Engineering Technician IV to support the US Navy in Bedford, IN.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Candidate must have mechanical aptitude, capable of troubleshooting electrical connectivity, and capable of following written Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for confirming/configuring and upgrading firmware/software on devices.
JOB DUTIES:
Maintain device compliance schedule.
Perform bench-top testing for received devices as required.
Ensure SOPs and bench-top testing documents are followed for tasks completion.
Cross-train to perform connectivity testing of completed modular assemblies for pre-system completion.
Coordinate with Task Lead, Government Customer, Procurement, Engineering support, and Inventory support to accomplish daily tasks
Support system FAT/GAT.
Report daily SITREPs to Task Lead.
Provide facilities escort for non-employee visitors to the facility.
Able to keep Configuration Management of the tasking, files and correspondences as required to complete the task in a quick and orderly fashion.
Perform written documentation for a variety of tasks.
Support onsite fielding events for system deliveries.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
HS (2+) or AA/AS (0+) years related experience.
No clearance required to start however must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process
Ability to work as a team for systems support in shifting environment.
Capable of meeting stringent deadline schedules.
Ability to comprehend and execute specific work instruction.
Intermediate skill set using MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
Must be able to communicate in a team environment and engage in system fielding events with supporting personnel.
Effective verbal and written skills are essential, with ability to convey in proper sentence structure.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Background experience as a Marine in the following MOS: MOS 5939 Marine Corps Aviation Communication Systems Technician (AVCOMM SYSTECHS), MOS 5974 - Tactical Data Systems Technician, MOS 5979 Tactical Air Operations/Air Defense Systems Technician.
CSFW certifications
Experience with COMSEC and INFOSEC
