Job Details

Role: QA/Tester

Location: Plano, TX (Hybrid)

Type: Contract

Responsibilities:

  • Develop Test Plans, Test Designs, and Test Scripts for validation.
  • Create and configure test benches, vehicles, and test setups.
  • Perform validation for developed products and services using available/new tools and methodologies.
  • Handle defect logging, triage, prepare test reports, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct mobile application testing and triaging for native iOS and Android devices.
  • Perform vehicle and head unit (HU) in-car and test bench testing.
  • Provide technical support to internal customers, including but not limited to:
  • Document creation and/or videos on automation solution features.
  • Hosting troubleshooting and training sessions.
  • Collecting automation system logs on potential software issues or enhancement opportunities.
  • Collecting monitoring and analysis tool logs for software issues and triages.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning, sprint refinement, and sprint reviews.
  • Adapt new technologies, tools, and processes as needed.
  • Work with Product Owners and team members to meet project deliverables and milestone dates.
  • Work with the Platform Engineering Team and support/triage defects in lower environments.
  • Communicate and collaborate with team members and business partners.

Must-have skills:

  • Experience in connected vehicle/infotainment system validation.
  • Extensive experience with log collections for vehicle head units, communication systems, iOS, and Android.
  • Experience with dashboarding and documentation using Jira and Confluence.
  • Familiarity with enterprise QA frameworks such as BDD and TDD.
  • Strong skills in impact analysis and scenario storyboarding.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum (software) and waterfall (vehicle manufacturing) development cycles.
  • Experience in API testing for microservices (REST, gRPC) hosted on cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure).
  • Good understanding and experience in authentication types, SSL authentication, and MQTT (a plus).
  • Experience in in-car network protocol testing (including CAN, MOST) is a plus.

Preferred: Experience with automation frameworks and suites (e.g., Selenium).
