Job Title: MDM Consultant

Work Location: 100% Remote

Job Description

Seeking a highly skilled Master Data Management (MDM) Consultant to lead and support a Client Master MDM solution across institutional and wealth management channels. This role requires a hands-on, business-focused technologist with deep expertise in MDM principles and asset/wealth management distribution.

The ideal candidate will design and deliver scalable MDM solutions that support critical business initiatives, work closely with data stewards and product owners, and contribute to continuous innovation within a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing support of a Client Master MDM solution covering institutional and wealth management channels

  • Collaborate closely with data stewards, product owners, and business stakeholders to align MDM solutions with business objectives

  • Analyze master data to identify trends and patterns that enhance business processes and decision-making

  • Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on MDM best practices, governance, and implementation strategies

  • Design and deliver data solutions supporting wealth management and institutional asset management initiatives

  • Develop, deploy, and optimize cloud-based data pipelines using Azure technologies (ADF, DBT, Fivetran, Snowflake, etc.)

  • Ensure data pipelines are performant, scalable, and reliable

  • Work with market and reference data in the context of capital markets or investment management

  • Lead technical teams, provide strategic planning, and oversee delivery of mission-critical solutions

  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience

  • Deep knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) principles, architectures, processes, and technologies

  • Hands-on experience working with data stewards and product owners

  • Strong experience developing and maintaining MDM solutions

    • Experience with Semarchy MDM highly desirable (other MDM tools considered)

  • Extensive experience with cloud-based data engineering (Azure, ADF, DBT, Fivetran, Snowflake)

  • Proven ability to optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability

  • Strong understanding of market and reference data within capital markets or investment management

  • Leadership and team management experience with the ability to provide technical direction and strategic oversight

  • Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, data quality, and data governance principles

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with strong influencing and collaboration abilities

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with high standards and a focus on quality delivery
