Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. seeks an Associate, Java / Scala Developer in New York, NY
Generate and transmit regulatory reports to various external counterparties and regulators globally, along with a full suite of tooling to ensure that the reports are correct and timely. Work closely with technology, operations, projects, risk, business unit and compliance colleagues in all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) with a track record of delivery. Run projects from front-to-back including requirements analysis, design, software development, implementation, and post-implementation support. Support growing businesses in a rapidly evolving regulatory environment that requires precise execution and strategic thinking. Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per week.
Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $152,000 and $152,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
Requirements:
Requires a Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field of study and three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years as a Software Engineer, Programmer Analyst, or related occupation in the technology field. Requires one (1) year of experience with: Java; JavaScript; Relay; HTML5; PHP; SQL; GitHub; Frontend Framework including React; JSP; Monitoring Tools including Splunk, AppDynamics, and Grafana; Data Warehouse including Presto and Hive; and GraphQL. Requires any experience with: Spring-Boot; Testing frameworks including Junit, and Mockito; ML Models including Linear Regression, Decision Tree, and K-means clustering; CI/CD; Python Web Scrapping; and Python Based Domain Specific Language. Skills may be gained through work experience or advanced degree coursework.
