User Experience Specialist

User Experience I

Collaborates with all team members to design and create the user experience for digital platforms. Interacts with the business and agile teams to gather stakeholder requirements and understand the needs of members.  Ensures that the integrity of the brand is present in all facets of the online experience, designing websites, emails, mobile applications and any external media. Uses visual design, typography, layout, and color theory to create visually appealing designs while adhering to business requirements, design standards and usability best practices.

User Experience II

Collaborate with all team members to design and create the user experience of digital platforms. Interacts with the business to gather stakeholder requirements and understands the needs of members.  Ensures that the integrity of the brand is present in all facets of the online experience, designing websites, emails, mobile applications and any external media. Reviews work and deliverables created by User Experience I to ensure they use visual design, typography, layout, and color theory to create visually appealing designs while adhering to business requirements, design standards and usability best practices

User Experience III

Leads the development and creation of the user experience for digital platforms by developing and executing studies while working effectively within technical, creative, and budgetary constraints.  Creates and facilitates workshops and other research methods to understand user needs and translate them into project requirements. Leads and guides other UX team members through the utilization of processes and designs that adhere to brand and usability standards. Reviews and analyzes feedback and data from research sessions, literature reviews and incorporates these findings into their decision process to make strategic decisions that align to corporate goals.

User Experience IV

Monitors and reviews project intake to balance out the team’s workload. Leads the development and creation of the user experience for digital platforms by developing and executing studies while working effectively within technical, creative, and budgetary constraints.  Leads cross functional team members and projects to deliver best in class experiences. Creates and facilitates workshops and other research methods to understand user needs and translate them into project requirements. Leads and guides other UX team members through the utilization of processes and designs that adhere to brand and usability standards. Reviews and analyzes feedback and data from research sessions, literature reviews and incorporates these findings into their decision process to make strategic decisions that align to corporate goals.

Responsibilities 

User Experience I

• Creates deliverables including sketches, wireframes and prototypes for projects while following all design and UX standards from concept to final hand-off to development.  Creates, develops and executes or oversees quality art and design layout solutions for complex on-line content, including but not limited to web sites, email marketing, promotions, page layouts and other creative assets, from a combination of user experience research, artifacts (wireframes, prototypes, etc.) and functional specifications provided by Business Analysts.
• Participates in Agile ceremonies, reviews member analytics and understands current business requirements to factor into deliverables.
• Creates and shares documentation with the UX team that shows the processes used to create deliverables.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

User Experience II

• Create and reviews deliverables including sketches, wireframes and prototypes for projects while following all design and UX standards. Creates, develops and executes or oversees quality art and design layout solutions for complex on-line content, including but not limited to web sites, email marketing, promotions, page layouts and other creative assets, from a combination of user experience research, artifacts (wireframes, prototypes, etc.) and functional specifications provided by Business Analysts.
• Participates in brainstorming, usability testing and other UX activities to help deliver the experience and design of projects to meet stakeholder and customer needs
• Participates in Agile ceremonies, reviews member analytics and understands current business requirements to factor into deliverables
• Performs other duties as assigned.

User Experience III

• Develops, conducts, analyzes and presents findings from a variety of design and usability research initiatives on current applications and for future initiatives
• Develops and maintains usability and/or design standards based on research outcomes and industry best practices
• Prioritizes work and methods of research for all agile projects assigned to them and also other team members by working closely with stakeholders and team members
• Create deliverables including sketches, wireframes and prototypes for projects while following all design and UX standards
• Reviews deliverables, sites and apps to ensure they are meeting design and usability standards
• Performs other duties as assigned.

User Experience IV

• Develops, conducts, analyzes and presents findings from a variety of design and usability research initiatives on current applications and for future initiatives
• Develops and maintains usability and/or design standards based on research outcomes and industry best practices

Qualifications

User Experience I

Education and Experience

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, business or related field or equivalent experience.
• 1 year of experience performing the design of interactive projects from concept to completion.

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

• Basic understanding of design principles and best practices for usability
• Familiarity with systems development life cycle.
• Familiar with Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite and TFS in order to perform duties
• Solid understanding digital experiences and design principles

User Experience II

Education and Experience

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, business or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of User Experience or UI development Experience

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

• Basic understanding of design principles and best practices for usability
• Familiarity with systems development life cycle.
• Familiar with Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite and TFS in order to perform duties
• Familiar with developing usability and design sessions
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript

User Experience III

Education and Experience

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, business or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of User Experience or UI development Experience
• 1 years mentoring or managing other team members

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

• Basic understanding of design principles and best practices for usability
• Familiarity with systems development life cycle.
• Strong presentation, facilitation and analytical skills
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript
• Ability to conduct research techniques such as: usability testing, card sorting and contextual inquiry
• Advanced understanding of User Centered Design process and experience
• Understanding of web, mobile and responsive applications
