Oracle DBA

Job Description

Optimize Oracle database systems for performance, efficiency, and scalability.
Perform tuning, capacity planning, space management, and data maintenance.
Proactively monitor production systems and respond quickly to incidents.
Administer Oracle Application Express (APEX) environments.
Implement and support Oracle GoldenGate, Data Guard, and DB Links for replication, disaster recovery (DR), and system integration.
Ensure disaster recovery (DR) strategies are in place, tested, and validated regularly.
Optimize workloads, data warehouses, and queries for performance and cost efficiency.
Design and implement data partitioning, clustering, and query tuning.
Enforce corporate security, encryption, and data classification standards.
Conduct regular health checks, capacity planning, and cost optimization.
Collaborate with data engineering teams to build and deploy efficient data pipelines.



Required Qualifications
8+ years of professional experience as an Oracle DBA in enterprise production environments.
Hands-on experience with Oracle 10g, 11g, and 12c administration.
Strong PL/SQL programming skills and Oracle performance tuning expertise.
Proven ability to troubleshoot using OEM, AWR, and other monitoring tools.
Deep knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate, Data Guard, DB Links, and replication.
Familiarity with data ingestion pipelines, storage/compute optimization, and data sharing.
Strong understanding of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery across both Oracle and Snowflake.
Solid grasp of enterprise IT infrastructure, networking, and security standards.

Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with healthcare compliance and security standards (HIPAA, PHI).
