Description: Our client is currently seeking a Product Review Engineer 4 (Eligible to obtain Secret Clearance)

Location: Mascoutah, IL

Duration: 6+ Months

Shifts: 2nd shift 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm

Clearance Requirement: Must be able to obtain a secret clearance

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Lead with expertise in design and engineering principles to oversee product lifecycle assessments, technical issue resolutions, and process improvements. This role involves leading research efforts to address complex operational and quality challenges, developing interim and final engineering solutions, and ensuring compliance with standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply broad expertise in design and engineering principles to assess and resolve product/process issues throughout the lifecycle.
  • Lead research initiatives for technical, operational, and quality challenges, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and disposition development for design non-conformances.
  • Develop and implement innovative product/process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Utilize unique applications to detect and address complex nonconforming conditions and deviations.
  • Analyze reported problems for potential safety risks and manage complex resolutions to mitigate them.
  • Provide design phase subject matter expertise, supporting Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and participating in design reviews.
  • Represent the engineering community in the build-through-post-production environment, ensuring seamless transitions.
  • Ensure supplier and build partner compliance with standards for quality and technical alignment.
  • Develop customer correspondence for safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Lead teams for on-site disabled product repairs and accident investigations when necessary.
  • Design appropriate jacking and shoring schemes, ensuring structural integrity.
  • Lead the design of interim structural repairs and conduct static strength analysis.
  • Develop and oversee non-destructive testing procedures, tools, and standards.
  • Create and implement technical training curriculum for internal and external stakeholders.

Must-Have Qualifications:
  1. Previous MRB certification with hands-on experience in managing non-conformance resolutions.
  2. Strong experience, preferably in engineering, design, or process optimization.
  3. Ability to obtain Secret Clearance as required for the role.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Expertise in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to guide and mentor engineering teams.
  • Deep understanding of structural repairs and analysis techniques.
