Job Details
Tableau Administration: Focuses on ensuring the proper functioning of Tableau Server, including user access, report performance, and data source management. The team works closely with data engineers, business teams, and IT infrastructure to resolve any data discrepancies and optimize server performance.
Tableau Administration Support Skills
- Monitor and troubleshoot failed extract refreshes and subscriptions
- Restart or reconfigure services using Tableau Services Manager (TSM)
- Collect and analyze Tableau logs for issue resolution
- Monitor dashboard performance and assist in identifying slow-loading reports
- Support SSO/LDAP integration and user authentication issues
- Collaborate with users for troubleshooting and support
- Work with security teams to manage access, permissions, and compliance
- Coordinate with infrastructure teams for server maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting
- Engage with internal teams as needed to ensure smooth operations and issue resolution
- Verify user access by checking AD group membership and Tableau site roles
- Schedule and maintain data extract and subscription tasks
- Grant access to projects, workbooks, and published data sources
- Publish and organize Tableau workbooks and data sources
- Perform version upgrades and apply patches to Tableau Server
- Track license usage and help with license assignment
- Assist in license allocation and usage tracking
