Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Cassandra DBA to support a large-scale migration project from on-premises infrastructure to Azure cloud. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing production Cassandra environments and executing cloud migration strategies. This role involves database monitoring, maintenance, and collaboration with DevOps teams to ensure a smooth transition to cloud infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Monitor and maintain Cassandra databases in a large-scale production environment. Execute lift-and-shift migration from on-premises infrastructure to Azure cloud. Collaborate with cloud and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and performance. Implement best practices for database performance, reliability, and scalability. Support ongoing database operations and troubleshoot issues as needed. Contribute to documentation and planning for migration and post-migration support. Required Qualifications Proven experience as a DBA in a large, production-level Cassandra environment. Hands-on experience with large-scale migration to public cloud platforms, preferably Azure. Strong understanding of Cassandra architecture, performance tuning, and maintenance. Familiarity with DevOps practices and monitoring tools in cloud environments. Preferred Qualifications Cassandra certifications. Experience with Azure DevOps and monitoring tools. Prior migration experience involving Cassandra databases. Knowledge of DSE Solr. Experience working remotely in distributed teams. Certifications Cassandra certifications preferred. Education: Bachelors Degree Certification: Cassandra certification
