Sr. DevOps Engineer
Location: Atlanta, GA or San Francisco, CA (In-person Interview Required)
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with a strong background in middleware technologies and automation. This role involves building and supporting customer-facing applications, automating infrastructure, and ensuring scalability, security, and performance across environments.
Key Responsibilities
Support and optimize middleware environments (WebLogic 12C, JBoss EAP).
Automate infrastructure and deployments using Shell (must), Perl/Python (good to have), Ansible/Chef/Puppet, and Terraform (IaC).
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (pipeline coding required).
Work with containerization tools (Docker/Podman preferred).
Monitor and optimize application and infrastructure performance; manage capacity, alerting, and KPIs.
Troubleshoot and resolve production and non-production infrastructure/application issues.
Document implementations, maintain READMEs, and collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, QA, and product teams.
Assist with upgrades, patching, and migrations.
Required Skills
10+ years of hands-on DevOps experience.
Strong scripting skills Shell required; Perl/Python preferred.
Experience with WebLogic 12C and/or JBoss EAP.
Pipeline development experience is a must.
Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet experience preferred.
Azure Cloud experience is a plus.
Containerization (Docker or Podman) is a plus.
