Job Description

The Director of Workplace Technology Services is responsible for shaping the long-term vision, standards, and roadmap for all end-user technology platforms across Northwell Health. This role partners closely with the Director of Endpoint Engineering and other technology leaders to ensure workplace technology decisions are aligned, sustainable, and future-ready .

Job Responsibility

  • Leads an Infrastructure Services and Management group by developing, communicating, and building consensus for programs that support a business, function or geographic area.
  • Develops and articulates a strategic vision for areas of responsibility and assigned technology domains.
  • Makes recommendations regarding improvement for quality, increased efficiency, productivity, and cost reductions.

Job Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 8-12 years of relevant experience and 7+ years of leadership / management experience, required.


Highly Preferred Skils:

  • 10+ years in enterprise IT, with 5+ years in a technical architecture or engineering leadership role


  • Deep expertise in endpoint management (Intune, SCCM, JAMF), Windows/Mac platforms, Active Directory/Entra ID


  • Proven experience architecting virtual desktop or cloud workspace environments (VMware Horizon, AVD, Windows 365)


  • Familiarity with clinical IT and Epic infrastructure


  • Strong understanding of enterprise collaboration, MDM/UEM, and hardware lifecycle strategies


  • Demonstrated knowledge of digital employee experience platforms and user-focused design principles


  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership and communication skills


Key Focus Areas:

  • Translating enterprise and clinical priorities into a clear strategy for end-user technologies, including desktop engineering, field services, messaging, mobile, collaboration, and endpoint operations


  • Providing strategic guidance and architectural frameworks to support scalable, consistent, and secure solutions across the digital workplace


  • Supporting the Endpoint Engineering Director by absorbing technical planning, design standards, and governance responsibilities - enabling greater focus on leadership, team development, and roadmap execution


  • Championing the digital employee experience (DEX) by ensuring technologies and workflows are seamless, efficient, and tailored to clinical, administrative, and hybrid workforce needs
