Hire Technology is seeking a Benefits Analyst who will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of benefits administration through expert management of benefits platforms and payroll integration processes for our Client. This role is responsible for maintaining system integrity, optimizing data flows, and enhancing the employee experience from enrollment through to payroll deductions. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills, technical system knowledge, and collaborative problem-solving across HR, Payroll, IT, and external vendors.
Local Houston Candidates only:
90% Remote - 10% in office
Responsibilities:
Maintain and configure benefits enrollment systems (e.g., bswift, Workday, ADP), including updates, testing, and enhancements.
Ensure accurate and timely data integration between benefits platforms and payroll systems.
Perform regular audits and reconciliations to confirm benefit elections and payroll deductions are accurate.
Monitor system feeds and proactively resolve data integrity issues.
Act as a subject matter expert on benefit plans and enrollment workflows.
Support annual open enrollment, including system setup, testing, and validation.
Investigate and resolve employee issues related to enrollment and payroll deductions.
Partner with vendors to implement and maintain file feeds and ensure a positive user experience.
Develop and deliver scheduled and ad hoc reports on benefits participation and deductions.
Assist in ensuring compliance with ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, and other regulatory requirements.
Support audit processes, year-end reporting, ACA filings, and Form 5500 preparation.
Work closely with Payroll, HRIS, Total Rewards, and IT teams to ensure coordinated processes.
Participate in system upgrades, vendor transitions, and continuous improvement projects.
Create training materials and deliver guidance to HR team members and end-users.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in benefits administration, HRIS, or payroll systems.
Familiarity with benefits platforms such as bswift, Businessolver, Workday, SAP, or Oracle.
Demonstrated knowledge of benefits processes and payroll deduction workflows.
Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analysis.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in system configuration, implementation, or testing of benefits platforms.
Working knowledge of ACA compliance, COBRA, and other U.S. benefits regulations.
Experience in large or unionized environments is a plus.
Bachelor s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field
