Location & Work Arrangement

  • Work Arrangement: Remote
  • Contract: This is a Contract position.

Key Duties and Core Focus Areas

Eligibility Systems and Technical Analysis

  • Program Expertise (6+ Yrs): Provide expertise in automated eligibility determination systems, specifically for SNAP and TANF Eligibility, as well as associated functions like SNAP E&T, Benefits, and Benefit Recovery.
  • System Design & Implementation: Contribute to the technical design and implementation of eligibility systems.
  • Legacy System Knowledge: Ability to provide Subject Matter Expertise on Mainframe CICS system architectures (3+ Years).
  • Federal Compliance: Knowledge of USDA-FNS guidelines and experience working within a state government environment.

Business Analysis and Project Leadership

  • Requirements Elicitation (6+ Yrs): Extensive experience working with customers (DHS program areas) to elicit business requirements and translate them into IT needs.
  • Process Enhancement (6+ Yrs): Ability to provide recommendations regarding enhancements to systems and processes.
  • Project Oversight: Experience with project management, overseeing project life cycles, and contributing to development release planning.
  • Standards & Leadership: Define and implement standards, new technical direction, and participate in issue resolution and process refinement. Experience leading a development team is highly valued.
  • Documentation (6+ Yrs): Experience developing, maintaining, and updating documentation for procedures, policies, and processes.
