Business Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Salt Lake City, UT that is looking for a remote Business Analyst.

Summary:
The client is looking for a Business Analyst (BA) to support a large, complex conversion project-converting two affiliates onto core systems-with 20+ active workstreams. The ideal candidate strengthens a team with documentation gaps by driving high-quality requirements, standardized artifacts, and crisp end-to-end process visibility.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation across ~20 workstreams; Establish and enforce standards and naming conventions in agreed-upon repositories
* Improve Agile/ADO hygiene: partner with product and delivery teams to raise the quality of backlog items, acceptance criteria, and linkage between epics, features, user stories, and test cases
* Create visual Data Mapping Flows and end-to-end Process Flows; Maintain living diagrams that trace source, transformation, and target and cross-system handoffs
* Assess and interpret data to inform conversion rules, validation checks, and reconciliation approaches; Surface insights and risks early
* Refresh the list of applications affected by the project; Coordinate with SMEs to validate scope, dependencies, and remediation plans
* Contribute to Governance Controls: ensure documentation is complete, traceable, and audit-ready; Help drive adherence to agreed control points

REQUIREMENTS:
* Proven ability to produce strong requirements and documentation and place artifacts in standard locations used by the program
* Hands-on experience working in Agile with Azure DevOps (ADO), including story writing and documentation practices
* Ability to analyze and interpret data to support conversion and downstream process needs
* Advanced skill building Visual Data Mapping Flows and Process Flows for end-to-end scenarios
* Proficiency in Microsoft Visio (for process and data flow diagramming)
* Comfortable working remotely on MST hours and collaborating across multiple workstreams

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
