RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Grand Rapids, MI that is seeking a BA/PM. This role will build and strengthen IT capabilities to support our client's partners in the Claims and Insurance space (building a new IT department to support). We are in the process of building a new IT department to support the company's strategic goals across key verticals in the Claims and Insurance domains. The BA/PM plays a critical role in both the maintenance of current applications and in shaping future capabilities. Their contributions are pivotal in ensuring the right vendor partnerships are selected and that growth is supported through smart automation and process alignment.

The primary goals of this initiative are:
* Stabilization - Establish foundational IT operations to ensure system reliability and business continuity.
* Growth Enablement - Build scalable infrastructure and capabilities to support business expansion.
* MSP Transition - Gradually disentangle from current Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and bring key IT functions in-house.

Key Focus Areas:
* MGA/TPA Consolidation: We are consolidating Managing General Agents (MGAs) and Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) across multiple insurance lines to streamline operations and improve service delivery
* Affiliate Integration: Supporting affiliate entities that provide services to TPAs, ensuring they are aligned with the broader IT strategy and company standards

Support Approach by Vertical:
* Insurance & Claims: Deliver robust IT support for both new and existing business operations, ensuring smooth onboarding into the environment
* TPAs: Provide tailored support to help maintain day-to-day operations while assisting in the long-term transition into the centralized ecosystem

REQUIREMENTS:
* To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed
* Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus

Able to perform the following:
* Ensure the continued stability and performance of existing applications
* Operate within specific verticals to maintain business continuity
* Anticipate future needs and identify opportunities for optimization
* Evaluate potential vendors and help select the right technology partners
* Lead efforts to onboard new vendors, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
* Emphasize compatibility, scalability, and support for automation initiatives
* Identify areas where automation can drive efficiency
* Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement automated workflows that support growth
* Conduct internal process discovery to build a strong understanding of current operations
* Develop comprehensive documentation of existing policies, procedures, and workflows
* Address the knowledge gap left by recent staff departures

* Limited team bandwidth
* Urgent need for documentation and knowledge transfer
* Balancing operational maintenance with forward-looking initiatives

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
