Job Details

Role: Data Engineers (Junior/ Mid Level/ Senior)

Location: Onsite 5 days a week in NYC NY or Boston MA

Duration: 6 months 12 months

Responsibilities:

  • Will work on Strong SQL and Snowflake expertise, including performance tuning and data modeling.
  • Strong experience in building (not just using) ELT frameworks using DBT, MWAA, and Snowflake, along with solid Python skills.
  • Will do coding in Python for scripting, automation, and working with REST APIs.
  • Will work on Apache Airflow for orchestration and workflow monitoring.
  • Work on DBT for modular, version-controlled data transformations.
  • Will work on AWS services (e.g., S3, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch) in data engineering workflows.
  • Will integrate and process data from REST APIs.
  • Understanding of data quality, governance, and cloud-native troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with UX teams to translate user feedback from investment professionals into intuitive features.
  • Contribute to code reviews, design discussions, and agile ceremonies.
  • Follow best practices in secure coding, data access control, and compliance (especially for financial systems).
  • Ensure all code aligns with Carlyle s enterprise architecture, data governance, and cybersecurity policies.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in building (not just using) ELT frameworks using solid Python skills.
  • Strong SQL and Snowflake expertise, including performance tuning and data modeling.
  • Proficient in Python for scripting, automation, and working with REST APIs.
  • Experience with Apache Airflow for orchestration and workflow monitoring.
  • Hands-on with dbt for modular, version-controlled data transformations.
  • Solid experience with AWS services (e.g., S3, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch) in data engineering workflows.
  • Experience integrating and processing data from REST APIs.
  • Understanding of data quality, governance, and cloud-native troubleshooting.
  • RAG (retrieval-augmented generation) workflows.
  • Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment.
