Job Title: Network Operations Engineer Remote Access & Telephony
Location: Downtown Austin, TX (Onsite)
Contract Length: 6 months with potential for extension
Overview:
Our client in downtown Austin is seeking a Network Operations Engineer to support and maintain secure remote access and telephony services. This role will be responsible for managing RSA authentication, remote access solutions, and phone system administration to ensure reliable connectivity and communication across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on experience in enterprise environments, and a focus on delivering stable, secure services to end users.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and support RSA authentication systems and tokens for secure remote access.
  • Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot remote access platforms (VPNs, secure gateways, etc.).
  • Administer and support enterprise phone systems, including configuration, troubleshooting, and user management.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to resolve connectivity, access, and telephony issues.
  • Perform routine system maintenance, patching, and upgrades for supported platforms.
  • Monitor system performance, respond to incidents, and perform root cause analysis.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of processes, configurations, and user guides.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in network operations, system administration, or a related role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with RSA authentication and secure remote access technologies.
  • Experience administering and troubleshooting enterprise phone/telephony systems.
  • Familiarity with VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and related networking fundamentals.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in enterprise IT environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
