DevOps Engineer

What does a successful DevOps Engineer do?

As a DevOps Engineer at Fiserv, you play a pivotal role in transforming our deployment processes to ensure maximum efficiency, automation, and reliability. You will work in a collaborative environment, facilitating seamless integration between development and operations teams to drive FinTech innovation. Your expertise in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) will be vital in streamlining our systems and services, enabling us to deliver superior solutions to our clients.

What you will do:

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment automation.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth and reliable system integration.
• Monitor and manage cloud infrastructure to guarantee high availability and scalability.
• Recommend and implement solutions to enhance deployment efficiency and reliability.
• Provide 24/7 support for critical technical issues and continuously improve automation strategies.

What you will need to have:

• 4+ years of experience with Unix/Linux operating systems, preferably as a RedHat Certified Engineer (RHCE).
• 4+ years of experience with tools such as Git, Bamboo/Jenkins, Maven/Ant, Artifactory, Jira, Confluence, Ansible, and Terraform.
• 4+ years of experience working with cloud platforms like IBM Cloud/Bluemix, Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Tanzu.
• 4+ years of experience with scripting languages, including Batch, Bash, and Python, and deployment automation with Helm on OpenShift/Kubernetes.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent military experience.

What would be great to have:

• 4+ years of experience with relational databases, SQL, and working with REST APIs and JSON.
• 4+ years of experience in Microservices architecture and integration/unit testing.
• Knowledge in JMS and Kafka.
