Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative AI Security Architect with deep experience in Microsoft Azure to lead the design and implementation of secure architectures for AI/ML platforms, services, and applications. This role will drive strategy and technical solutions for securing AI workloads in Azure, ensuring that data privacy, model integrity, and platform resilience are maintained in accordance with security best practices and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement secure architectures for AI/ML workloads running in Azure (e.g., Azure Machine Learning, Cognitive Services, Azure OpenAI, and custom models).
Define and enforce security policies across the AI lifecycle including data ingestion, model training, deployment, and monitoring.
Integrate Zero Trust principles and cloud-native security controls into AI platforms and services.
Apply threat modeling and risk assessments to AI solutions, including risks related to model theft, poisoning, prompt injection, and adversarial attacks.
Collaborate with data science, DevOps, and engineering teams to embed security throughout the MLOps pipeline.
Configure and monitor tools such as Azure Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Purview, Azure Policy, and Key Vault to secure AI workloads and data.
Oversee identity and access management for AI services using Azure AD, RBAC, and managed identities.
Develop and document secure deployment patterns, including for containerized AI workloads and inference APIs.
Stay current on AI security trends, research, and compliance (e.g., NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 23894, GDPR, HIPAA).
Support security incident response involving AI systems, including audit logging and anomaly detection.
Lead internal training and awareness efforts on AI-specific security threats and mitigations.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
5-10+ years of experience in cloud security architecture with a focus on Azure.
3+ years of experience securing AI/ML environments or platforms.
Strong knowledge of Azure AI services (e.g., Azure ML, Azure OpenAI, Azure Data Lake, Cognitive Services).
Experience with cloud security tools and practices, especially in a regulated environment.
Deep understanding of secure data engineering, MLOps, and AI model lifecycle security.
Familiarity with AI-specific threats such as model inversion, data leakage, and adversarial ML.
Strong scripting or automation skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Terraform, Bicep).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Security Engineer Associate
Certifications such as CCSP, CISSP, Certified AI Security Professional, or GIAC AI/ML certifications
Experience with secure deployment of large language models (LLMs) and generative AI in enterprise environments
Familiarity with data governance tools such as Microsoft Purview
Experience working with frameworks like NIST AI RMF, MITRE ATLAS, and ISO/IEC 23894
