Solution Architect - Data Migration
Overland, KS (Day 1 onsite)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solution Architect with a strong background in data migration projects and telecommunications systems. The ideal candidate will lead the design, planning, and execution of large-scale data migration initiatives, ensuring seamless integration across telecom platforms while aligning with enterprise architecture standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end solution architecture for data migration projects in telecom environments.
Analyze current legacy systems and define architecture blueprints for future-state solutions.
Design scalable, secure, and high-performance migration strategies that minimize downtime and ensure data integrity.
Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and domain experts to gather and translate business requirements into technical designs.
Define data mapping, transformation rules, and validation checks for successful data transition.
Provide architectural guidance on the selection of tools and platforms for ETL, data quality, and data integration.
Work closely with vendors and system integrators for cross-platform migrations (e.g., BSS/OSS, CRM, billing systems, network management tools).
Mitigate risks related to data loss, duplication, and regulatory non-compliance during migrations.
Ensure architecture aligns with industry standards (e.g., TM Forum) and telecom best practices.
Document architecture decisions, patterns, and technical specifications.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
8+ years of IT experience, with at least 4 years in a solution architect role focused on data migration.
Proven experience in telecom domain especially in BSS/OSS systems, CRM, and billing solutions.
Deep understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and enterprise integration.
Hands-on experience with data migration tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SAP BODS, IBM DataStage).
Strong knowledge of telecom protocols, standards, and processes.
Proficiency with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS / Azure / Google Cloud Platform) and modern architecture principles (microservices, APIs).
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
