Primary Talent Partners has a new 12 month contract opening for a Sr. Product Owner with a Medical Device client in Mounds View MN.

Pay: $70-$80/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.

Description:

Sr. Product Owner/Tech Lead reports directly to the Sr. Manager, PMO. Position is responsible for the planning, execution and evaluation of existing product to determine current state between multiple functions including infrastructure, software and manufacturing. This role acts as a liaison between the business and technical teams to develop, design and create project requirements to inform stakeholders. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages the assessment, development and prioritization of needs to determine current state of products and services involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on an existing product and processes.
  • Leverages understanding of business strategy and needs to create a vision and roadmap for products, platforms and/or services being assessed. Prioritize need in collaboration with business.
  • Gathers requirements, works on requirements planning, requirements elicitation and requirements management to ensure they meet demands of project's key stakeholders.
  • Captures the Voice of Customer/Voice of User on current product
  • Collaborate with 3rd party vendor to deliver required features.
  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
  • Communicates with stakeholders, obtains stakeholder engagement to ensure the end products or processes will solve the business problems.
  • Collaborate with the architects to define technical and design discovery required for a feature
  • Intake input/feedback/insights from customers, stakeholders, and the scrum team and understand the needs around the voices to evaluate value accordingly and make an informed decision
  • Collaborates with Business Analyst to ensure solutions are understood and aligned to features that need to be developed
  • Collaborates with UI/UX Designer to ensure design meets customer needs
  • The majority of time is spent delivering R&D, systems or initiatives related to new technologies or therapies - from design to implementation - while adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills.

Must Have: Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in the medical device industry in systems, digital or software development with proven track record. Knowledge of the Agile methodology is nice to have.
  • Experience in 5+ major product or portfolio releases. Experience in a regulated product industry is nice to have.
  • Ability to quickly understand complex system behaviors, engineering problems, technical and architectural constraints.
  • Excellent verbal and written and communication skills with an aptitude for convincing others, both internally and externally, of the value of their ideas.
  • Deep experience working with hardware manufacturing initiatives and understanding medical device quality system documentation and deliverables.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Requires advanced knowledge of job area combining breadth and depth, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • May have practical knowledge of project management, IT systems and medical devices.
  • Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
  • Must have 3+ years of experience in information systems environment and/or system analysis or development
  • 5+ years of previous project management experience
