Job Details
Role: Cloud/Edge Engineer (Specific to GKE)
Duration: 12+ Months
Location: Dallas, TX (Onsite)
Role and responsibilities:
- Design, setup, maintain and support hybrid cloud-edge architecture that support low-latency, high-availability workloads across distributed environments.
- Deploy edge clusters using Kubernetes (K3s) to manage and support ~1200 virtual clusters.
- Integrate shared storage solutions using Rook.io and manage persistent volumes across edge nodes.
- Implement K0smotron for multi-cluster Kubernetes control plane management.
- Extend Kubernetes capabilities to edge devices using KubeEdge for real-time device communication.
- Deploy and manage workloads on Google Cloud GKE for centralized analytics and cloud-native services.
- Leverage CloudCore for edge node coordination and data synchronization.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application and security teams to ensure seamless integration of edge workloads.
