Job Description:

We are looking for a Java Developer with hands-on XSLT experience for a Long term opportunity. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in Java-based backend development and deep expertise in XML transformations using XSLT. Prior experience with data formatting, transformation logic, and working with large XML datasets is highly desirable.

NOTE: MODE OF INTERVIEW WILL BE IN-PERSON. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Java-based applications that process XML data
  • Design and implement XSLT transformations for complex data structures
  • Integrate XSLT workflows into Java microservices and RESTful APIs
  • Optimize XML/XSLT performance for high-throughput environments
  • Collaborate with data, backend, and QA teams to deliver robust transformation logic
  • Troubleshoot transformation errors, XML schema mismatches, and performance issues

Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong experience in Java (Core, Collections, Exception Handling, I/O)
  • Hands-on experience with XSLT 1.0/2.0 and XPath
  • Good understanding of XML, XSD, DTD, and XML Parsers (DOM/SAX)
  • Experience integrating XSLT into Java applications using libraries like JAXP, Saxon, etc.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and backend processing logic

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in financial, healthcare, or document transformation domains
  • Exposure to tools like Altova XMLSpy, Oxygen XML Editor, or Stylus Studio
  • Knowledge of Spring Boot, Maven/Gradle, and version control (Git)
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field
