Overview
As a Process Engineer, you'll be the driving force behind process optimization, waste reduction, and Lean transformation initiatives at our Lithia Springs facility. This highly visible role will work cross-functionally with plant leadership and operations teams to implement best practices, deliver measurable results, and build a stronger foundation for long-term growth. This position offers a clear path to Operations Manager responsibilities!
What You'll Do
- Lead and support cross-functional teams to streamline processes, increase throughput, and improve efficiency
- Implement and manage Lean Daily Management Systems within the plant
- Identify and execute cost reduction and waste elimination projects using Lean tools (5S, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis, Visual Management, etc.)
- Maintain performance dashboards and communicate results to plant and regional leadership
- Serve as the on-site subject matter expert in Lean methodologies, delivering training and mentoring to employees at all levels
- Support KPIs in Safety, Quality, Service, and Cost by leading key improvement projects
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure projects align with plant financial goals and strategic objectives
- Travel 10 to 15% for training and best-practice sharing across sites
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or related Engineering discipline
- 3+ years of Process Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated success driving process improvement and cost savings projects
- Strong leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint for visual management and reporting
Nice to Haves
- Lean Manufacturing Certification, Kaizen or Six Sigma exposure preferred
