Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking Software Engineer in Malabar, FL to work on a dynamic team supporting designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and efficient full-stack applications for the Airborne Combat Systems sector.

Will work closely with cross functional members of the engineering organization to develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, and operational requirements and design of the overall system.

Essential Functions:

Senior Software Engineer, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and efficient full-stack applications. You will work on both frontend and backend development, utilizing technologies such as Java Spring MVC, SQL Server, JavaScript, React.js, HTML5.

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using Java Spring MVC, SQL Server, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS.
• Develop RESTful APIs and services that are scalable, secure, and efficient.
• Implement robust backend solutions in Java and integrate with SQL Server databases.
• Work experience with debug/board bring up utilizing lab equipment.
• Experience with software fundamentals and the ability to code, integrate, and troubleshoot complex designs.
• Experience with Hardware and Software integration and test.
• Experience interacting with customers throughout the software lifecycle including major design and/or architecture reviews.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field) and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of degree, 13 year's of software experience.
• 6+ years of professional development experience for full stack applications.
• 6+ years of work experience with Java Spring MVC, SQL Server, JavaScript, React.js, HTML5.
• 6+ years of work experience with jQuery and CSS.
• 6+ years of work experience with RESTful APIs.
• 6+ years of Work experience with C#, .NET, Java.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Relevant integration and test experience on complex military systems.
• Full software development lifecycle experience including requirements flow-down and decomposition, allocation to design, translation to code, hardware/software integration, design verification/product qualification, transition to production, fielded product support, including changes for component obsolescence.
• Utilizing tools/processes to support a structured workflow (requirements management, configuration management, workflow and change control, etc).
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux development environment and tools.
