Our client is looking for a EDI Analyst This is a 12 plus months contract role. Please find below the details of the position.

Job Description

Position Title: EDI Analyst

Location: Rosemont, IL /Niles, IL - 3 days a week onsite

Length: Contract

Responsibilities

The Analyst - EDI is responsible for monitoring all inbound and outbound EDI transactions, as well as implementing new customers on EDI. This role is critical for ensuring the seamless flow of high-volume EDI transactions, supporting our ongoing digital transformation initiatives and new customer onboarding projects. The Analyst will work closely with the Master Data Maintenance (MDM) team, the sales team, and Coca-Cola Bottlers' Sales and Services (CCBSS) as the liaison to ensure our customers needs are satisfied.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the full EDI onboarding process for new trading partners, collaborating with CCBSS and OpenText to facilitate new transactions, including requirements gathering, mapping, testing, and go-live support.
  • Act as the primary point of contact and facilitator for EDI onboarding discussions and requirements gathering with new trading partners.
  • Manage and track the progress of all EDI onboarding activities, ensuring timely completion of tasks by all involved parties.
  • Facilitate technical discussions with trading partners to confirm transaction structure, syntax, and connectivity requirements.
  • Oversee the coordination of user acceptance testing (UAT) with trading partners, including test plan distribution and sign-off.
  • Ensure all necessary internal and external stakeholders are informed and aligned throughout the EDI implementation lifecycle.
  • Support the transition of new EDI connections from testing to production, including scheduling and monitoring go-live activities.
  • Serve as a liaison between the trading partner, internal teams (e.g., MDM, Sales), and third-party providers (e.g., CCBSS, CONA, OpenText) to resolve issues and expedite onboarding.
  • Manage and prioritize EDI implementation tasks and issues using a Kanban board or similar Agile methodology to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery.
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., daily stand-ups, backlog grooming) to facilitate communication and ensure alignment on EDI project status and priorities.
  • Confirm inbound and outbound EDI transactions are flowing through Coca-Cola Bottlers' Sales and Services (CCBSS) and to the customer/Coke One North America (CONA).
  • Coordinate with MDM team to validate customer master data as it relates to EDI fields, requesting changes where necessary.
  • Identify root causes of errors in EDI performance and develop new procedures to ensure errors are not recurring. Submit support tickets to Coca-Cola Bottlers' Sales and Services (CCBSS) or Coke One North America (CONA) as needed.
  • Proactively identify and communicate challenges with current EDI processes to CCBSS and customers, collaborating to find efficient resolutions and participating in weekly EDI cadence calls.
  • Maintain and update comprehensive EDI documentation, including technical specifications, business process workflows, reporting requirements, and support materials.
  • Generate reports on EDI transaction performance and error trends using internal monitoring tools.

Technical Skills

  • Expertise with ANSI X12 810 (Invoice), 850 (Purchase Order), 856 (Advance Ship Notice), and other common EDI formats used in retail and FMCG industries.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret and troubleshoot diverse EDI specifications and file structures, including proprietary formats.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and troubleshooting SAP IDOCs and flat file structures.
