Sr Data Engineer
About this role:
Our client is seeking Data Engineer for our Identity Access Management (IAM) Engineering team. The engineer will contribute to the design, development, test and delivery of IAM software solution (Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) - SailPoint) in a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) Agile environment. Engage with key stakeholders, subject matter experts (SME), and other engineers to drive design and development of IAM solutions.
This team focuses on optimization of capabilities to implement the IAM domain strategic goals and objectives. Additionally, the team is responsible for production deployment oversight and coordination for the IAM toolset, sponsorship of the access control design, and development.
Data Engineer:
Java development skills, especially with Spring Boot and Spring Batch.
Experience with Spring Batch components: Job, Step, ItemReader, ItemProcessor, ItemWriter, and job configuration.
Proficiency in ETL concepts: data extraction, transformation, and loading from various sources (e.g., databases, flat files, APIs).
Familiarity with Spring Cloud Data Flow for orchestrating batch and stream pipelines
Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases (e.g., MSSQL,Oracle/OracleExadata).
Knowledge of batch scheduling tools (e.g.autosys or quartz).
Database Systems: Expertise in relational databases (Oracle/Oracle Exadata, or MSSQL)
SQL Proficiency: Advanced SQL for complex queries, stored procedures,and performance tuning.
Data Modeling: Strong understanding of normalization,and schema design. - For lead developer
Performance Tuning: Query optimization, indexing strategies, database partition and database configuration. - For lead developer
Scripting: Knowledge of scripting languages - shell script, PowerShell, Python.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, and Git.
Familiarity with message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and document IAM software solutions, leveraging OOP principles
Collaborate with stakeholders, SMEs, and engineers to deliver secure, scalable systems
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives
Ensure code quality and security using tools like Sonar, Checkmarx, and Black Duck
Work with tools such as GitHub Actions, Harness, OCP/OpenShift (or other cloud platforms), and ServiceNow
Required Qualifications
Sr Database Developer
-Java development
-Database design - Apache Spark, ETL, Spring Batch; Oracle Exadata - tuning Oracle DB's (ideally Exadata); develop custom schemas
-Solid experience in Cloud environments leveraging containerization, OpenShift CP, API/microservices - flexible around general containerization and cloud platform
4+ years of software engineering experience

The pay range for this position is $53.60 - $58.00/hr.
