Role: Test Manager Work Location: Boca Raton, FL (100% Onsite)

Description:

The purpose of this role is to drive positive outcomes for strategic technology objectives through application testing. Responsible for providing oversight and is accountable for the planning, design and execution of application testing in projects of varying sizes, including transformational initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be required with specific activities changing from time to time.

  • Lead application testing activities throughout testing lifecycle (Planning, Design, Execution and Defect Management)
  • Develop system testing (SIT), regression and user acceptance testing (UAT) strategies, plans and schedules to verify migrated application functionality
  • Ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities for extended testing team members
  • Lead testing teams to develop tests, execute testing, and ensure actual results are captured with defects properly logged in test management tools
  • Coordinate and collaborate with performance testing teams to execute performance and load testing
  • Coordinate and collaborate with business users to execute UAT
  • Drive defect resolution through defect management routines and reporting
  • Ensure testing deliverables use client defined processes and artifact templates
  • Identify testing dependencies, risks, and issues and manage remediation plans (RAIDD)
  • Build and implement test status reporting, including reports required for executive readouts
  • Drive progress across test plans, working with testing participants to achieve planned milestones, removing roadblocks and facilitating cross team discussions
  • Working with client leadership, provide direction to 3rd party vendor testers that will be assigned to the project

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s Degree, or equivalent work or military experience
  • At least 5 years of test management experience
  • Proven track record of excellent test management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment
  • Partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels to manage, inform and influence outcomes
  • Demonstrated executive level verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly articulate and demonstrates executive presence

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior technology or business consulting experience
  • Implementation of test automation into project testing efforts to speed up delivery
  • Demonstrated understanding of business and technology organization, resources, priorities, and needs
  • Experience testing large and complex initiatives within a matrixed organization
  • Strong skills in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, Project)
  • Experience with both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies
  • Strong grasp of test management and technology development lifecycles
